A collection of 9 automated web bots designed to streamline various online tasks and workflows as well as to automatically solve puzzles and games. As a group, they utilize a variety of software solutions including Playwright, Automa, and AutoHotKey.

Proposal

Develop software solutions to automate online workflows and to solve puzzles and games. Used to develop skills utilizing new technologies.

Solution

Multiple web bots and projects were created, each with different requirements and solutions. They collectively utilize the web automation and testing tool Playwright, the no code tool Automa, and the macro scripting language AutoHotKey.

The process and scope varies per project from a simple macro to a comprehensive application with a user interface and multiple running configurations. Each project is displayed the technologies used to create them.

Automate using Playwright

There are two, medium-scoped and one small-scoped web bots using Playwright, all which use the tool in a variety of different ways.

  • •Playwright can be used for small to large-scoped web automations in addition to testing.
  • •Can be seamlessly integrated with Electron to create a desktop application.
  • •Can be utilized with a file system to create dynamic, evolving projects.

Solves different variations of the online game Boggle, and comes with a dynamic interface created in Electron.

Automate using Automa

There are three, small-scoped web bots using Automa for a variety of different purposes. There is also a separate, large-scoped, stand-alone project listed under Quote Book Generator.

There are two, small-scoped web bots using AutoHotKey to automate repetitive tasks on the computer.
